Guernsey Post’s philatelic bureau is delighted to announce that it will release a Post & Go overprint to celebrate and commemorate the NatWest International Island Games XIX, to be held in Guernsey from 8-14 July.
The Post & Go Guernsey flag stamp designs will vend on Guernsey’s Post & Go GG02 kiosk and the Market Street GG05 kiosk from Fri 7th July – Fri 14th July and will bear the following overprint: -

Guernsey Post’s head of philatelic, Bridget Yabsley said: - ‘The Games first began in 1985 when the Isle of Man brought together athletes from 15 small islands around the world for a sporting festival called the ‘Inter-Island Games’. It has since grown to include 24 member islands.’
‘The Games are a significant event in Guernsey’s sporting calendar and the third time it has hosted the Games. We will welcome around 2,800 athletes, coaches and officials and locals will have the opportunity to support and watch athletes compete in 14 different sports.’
