This special collector’s sheet celebrates the historic release of Sark’s first official postage stamps – the first new issue from any British Isle since Alderney in 1983.

Liberation Day remains a cherished tradition on Sark. The 80th anniversary in May 2025 was especially significant and is depicted in a complementary set of eight stamps. HRH The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence attended the commemorations, arriving by helicopter on Little Sark – the first royal visit to that part of the island. A horse-drawn carriage took them from the hamlet on Little Sark to La Coupée. After walking across the distinctive narrow strip of land that connects Little Sark with the main island, the Royal Couple met islanders who lived through the Occupation, along with Chelsea Pensioners and Gurkhas who lined the Avenue. 

This limited-edition folder marks a proud and emotional milestone in Sark’s history – its first ever stamp issue and a lasting tribute to the island’s courage, resilience, and heritage.
