Established in 2011, the Little Paper Gallery based in St Martin’s on Guernsey’s south coast is owned by illustrator and designer Caroline Cummins, who creates hand-drawn illustrated cards and prints of the beautiful Bailiwick Islands of Guernsey, Alderney, Sark and Herm.

Originally from London, where she worked as a graphic designer, Caroline has lived in Guernsey since 2005, taking inspiration for her illustrated products from the beauty of Guernsey and the surrounding islands, which are much loved by locals and visitors alike.

“Art and design were my favourite subjects at school and I’ve always loved drawing and making things,” says Caroline. “My earliest influence was my Grandad who taught me how to draw in perspective and how to write the Copperplate alphabet. I still use some of his dipping pen nibs today."

“My illustration style is mostly created digitally using a combination of line art, flat areas of colour with painted areas for added texture; giving my maps a sense of fun and movement.”
