In the second in our series of Raymond Evison’s wild flora definitives we see Raymond’s photographic talents as he focuses on a range of species found in the fields, sand dunes and along the coastal paths of Guernsey.
Botanical photography throws up a number of challenges which at first glance we may not imagine; often the chosen subject has a short flowering season or alternatively a walker may simply decide the natural beauty should adorn their mantelpiece rather than the hedgerow!
This series of floral stamps features ten very beautiful and very individual native species some you’ll be familiar with and some rare specimens which you may not.
