Description

On 9 September 2015 the Queen officially becomes  the longest reigning monarch in British history, superseding Queen Victoria’s reign which lasted for 63 years and seven months.  We are marking this achievement with an Alderney £10 definitive stamp.

As Britain's longest reigning monarch, The Queen has seen many significant events and achieved many milestones...

The Queen has given regular audiences to 12 Prime Ministers, including Winston Churchill (1951-55), Harold Wilson (1964-70 and 1974- 76) and David Cameron (2010 - present).

The Queen has personally held over 610 Investitures as well as having answered around three and a half million items of correspondence and has sent over 175,000 telegrams to centenarians in the UK and the Commonwealth.

An elegant £10 Definitive stamp with silver foil detail. The photograph used on the stamp was taken in Toronto, Canada in July 2010 - The Queen waits to greet guests at the Royal York Hotel.
